So What About You?

You say I am the problem to everything that is going on. That it is me and my personal problems what is stoping us from moving foward with this. But stop and think, could it be you and your atitude whats hurting me? Yes, my problems do affect ME, but they have affected ME for a long time and I have been able to move on and keep going with my life, so why do you have to make ME feel bad about it if maybe it's you the one with a problem. My problems have afected ME but not ever those around ME. Last night you said very hurtful words, you might say as an excuse that youj were intoxicated, but I believe that "drunken words are sobber thoughts" as the refrain goes. I keep my head up high and I will move on, but don't expect me to always be there for you, if when I tried to be a friend to you, I was rejected. You see me as a business, and I see you as a little more then that. You say don't mix business with the personal, and then you say we have nothing personal but just business, make up your mind and let me know what we are. I care about you a lot, and I don't know why. What you do, think and say affects me a lot and I don't know why. I hope everything goes okay, and I hope you find someone else out there but if you do not, don't turn around and expect to see me there. I will see you go as much as that hurts but I just can't keep up with this painful event. I went against my family, believes and values and you didn't apreciate it what's so ever. BUt tha's okay. I will watch you go,and I hope when you realize you are wrong is not too late because if is, I won't be there. I care about you but I also care about myself. Because I love you I am setting you free and if you come back then you belong to me, but if you don't we were never meant to be! <3

Class of 2012

Senior year comes around. After, all that time I have spent thinking on how it would be, on who I would be, what it would be like, and where I would be, it's finally here! Unbelievable how my life has changed from those days when I wished to be a senior at Eagle Rock high. I always thought I would graduate being an eagle, but I have transformed into a storm and even though I did not agree with it at first I know thank God and my mother for making the decision for me. I now thank the destiny for bringing the people in my life who care about me and who have been there when I needed them. I do miss my "LA life" but at the end of the day it is not today what matters most, is all about what we are doing to make tomorrow a better day! We fight to be better then our past and sometimes what we want is not what will stop the cycle from repeating itself. I work hard to make my mother proud and ever though I have to be respoinsible I also want to be a little crazy before my life really gets serious. I want to enjoy the last minutes of childhood even though I am not a child anymore! I hope for a good senior year, fun, happy, exciting, life changing, ad WILD!!! But its not just good things what makes a good year perfect, its the ups and downs, the happiness and sadness, the goodand bad news, it needs to be human and real because it is the last year of experience that we will have to prepare ourself for the real life. In my friends I trust, and I believe we can make this a good year, not a perfect one, but a real one!

I Am...

I am an African-American student
I wonder why white people hate me so much
I hear them yelling at me
I see one hundred army soldiers
I want society to be just like me
I am an African-American student and that is it.

I pretend to be strong and neveer concerned, but
I feel my heart pounding inside of my chest.
I need to feel that I am accepted by them.
I worry that I will never be safe while I am in this place.
I cry only when I am at home, so I always seem to be very strong but still
I am a member of the Little Rock

I understand they might have opposing views about what they call my kind,
I believe that it can all change if they give us a chance
I dream of this all going away and the world being just one
I try to never show my weaknesses
I hope that one day, people will see that we are all of the same kind, not against each other
I am an unaccepted member of the Little Rock Nine

I can infer that mom's are the mosrt likely parent to go to college and finish school. In my case it is not like that, my dad finish college but he has no influece in my dad so it is just as if only my mom history would count and she was only able to start college b ut ever finished it. Many parents are like that, they get to start but never finish.

Martin Luther King

In my opinion MLK ways were a lot more effective the Malcom X's ideas of getting his point across. Martin Luther King was a me who believed in peace war, he knew that by not fighting back with violence but with love he would get what he was asking for. Malcom X in the other hand believes in violence if you were being violated, he mind was set on hittikng whoever hit yuou and humiliating whoever humiliagted you. I think the MLK had the better strategy because if someone hits you and you respond with a hug then they will be shocked and won't know what to do, but if you hit them back you will justbe giving them what they were e0ecting from you.

Meritocracy

The ideology of this term i belive is right when it comes to the people who work for money. When it comes to school it is ot always the same situation because not everyone has the same chances. Maybe at some point yeah it is the same oportuneties but not everone can take advantage of them as other students. For example, everyone can go to a private college when they graduate high school as long as they meet the requiremets the school has, which everyone can meet if they can focus on their school work and make it their main priority but not everyone can do that. Many people have to be the parent of the parent, may others worry about money, and other just get the attention from their parents to focus in school. So yes, working hard will give you the American dream, if and only if we really all had the same opportunity and lived under the same circumstaces.

Television.

In my opinion, television is one of the biggest influences in a teeagers life. The t.v is used for many different purposes, people use it to inform themselves about what happends all over the world, or for entertaintment, or simply just as a hobby. In my house everyone owns a television in the room plus the common one we have in the family room, unlike in the old times no we have flat screes, three dimension, and HD t.v's. All the shows that a teen can watch there can influence them to a bad behaavior, sexual exposion, or even their sxual orientation. Sometimes t.v. makes situations okay, that to what people believe in is not okay. In the other side it is really up to each individual to what they watch and how they take what they see on t.v.

What? How? When? Why?

To: Blimcia Lische
Kolbuszowa, Poland
late 1938

What do you think your parents could have done different to save you from Hitler?

Would you have done if you would have been the parent?

Do you have ager towards your parents or towards the gocting you as a child of the country or the angel or their hearts?

How do you think your life would be right not if you would have survived the Holocaust?

Do you feel a shame or proud to be a jew? Would you have change your religion if you survived the Holcaust?

Just WOW.!!

The survivors of the Holocaust suffer a lot not onlyback then but until this day. They will always remember that horrible time of their lives. People like George Gottlieb go though a lot of pain when they rememeber the horrible memories of the last time they saw their family members, the concentration camps, the ghettos, and their life after the genocide. When I saw the video of Mr. Gottlieb, my heard crumbled and my eyes got teary, just thinking of how much he went though and all the pain it causes him even today. It is drives me insae, just imagining what I would do if I was taken away from my family they way they were. It makes me appreciate my family a lot more and realize that that the end of the day family is all you think about in rough times, when you eed help or confort, it is them whom you want to see and talk to.

Can We Just Stop It!!

Sould we? Shouldn't we? In a way.

I think that the United States should not get invloved in any kind of genocides going on aywhere in the world. As the most powerful country in the world at the moment we should try to make peace, yeah not everything will be perfect at all times, there will always be problems but if we have the powere then I think we should try to keep everything as calm as possible. As long as something does not affect us then we should stay away from. In the other side if the situation come to the point where it is a brutal disaster then the US should come in between to try to stop it. NOT TO MAKE IS A BIGGER PROBLEM.

Evolution Or Religion

I believe the both evolution and religion should be thought at school because it will prepare us for life. Teachers would not be teaching religion but the different perspectives they have. For exampe, when we get a job, go to college, or generally in life we will run into people whom probably do not have our same believes and we have to know how to deal with them. Also, it is important to be aware of the different kinds of religion there are out there, so then when we meet soomeone of another religion we do not appear to be ignorants for not knowing what their religion really was. In the other side it is also important to learn evolution because it is science and it is what we have to learn in school.

Poem.

-Protection for women and children was offered by
-Restricting  Alcohol, which was supported by
-Organizations led by women who fought for
-Happiness in their lives.
-Independence from their husbands is what women needed at this hard times.

-Taxes were affected by the banned of alcohol in the country.

What I Learned...

When we did the presentation I learned a lot from my group. We searched Bonnie and Clyde. Personally I think it is really astonoshing that she was clyde's partner. After she had already gone through what it was to have a loved one in jail she still made the decesion of being with him. She met him through he husband who was in jail. You would think that once she knew what it was like to be convicted by the law she would stop but that did not stop her. She was an Original Gangster even though she was a girl. At this time inlife this was a big deal, not as common as it is today. At the end they died together when they got cought by the police. They lived a very complicated life together.

Is Violence The Right Answer?

I think these people have to be treated like the criminals they are. They should be given a reward for revealing where the they other site is.Maybe if they were told that theeir punishment would be less they would confess. People like them do not look out for anyone else but themselves it is what it is. I believe that violence would probably not be the answer to anything unless they are really talking. However they should be given a certain amount of time before officer got to the violence or messing with their head.

Declaration Of War..

I think that the United States was taking Germany as a joke. it sounds like they were just saying yeah  we are dclaring war but we are not scared. We know we are the best and to us you nothing but a joke. It was such a joke to the US that they did not even bother to write a formal writting paper  declaring war to Germany. It looks like a flying or an icon you would see on facebook or photobucket. I also notice that their ink was colored yet they did not use the United States colors. In the other hand i am not really sure on how germany took it. They sent the same type of writting back to the US as their respond to the declaration of war. I think Germany was alomost at the same place as the US when it came to thinking they were the best.
